Does staying in contact with an ex help getting back together?

My ex and I broke up a month ago. He loved me but just wasnt ready for a relationship. Apart from commitment issues, we faced distance and career issues. I was ready to make the sacrifices needed but he wouldn’t let me. The thing is, he wants me to stay in touch and tells me he misses me and I’m very special to him. I don’t want to be a fool but I want to believe there is a chance. I just don’t know if staying in touch is for the best?

Dump this fool. He is just using you or taking advantage of you. You deserve better than to wait for a loser to come around. This is a disaster from the start. There is better out there for you. You will see. His loss. He did not need you from the start –what make you think he will come around? If he really loved you (and I mean REAL love) he would give the world to be with you. Not just relationship but lifetime commitment. MOVE ON! Get over him. Find someone much better.
